Bonnie
|
Bonnie and her daughter Piper came to us after the farm they lived at was sold. The new owner did not want the sheep and threatened to send them to auction if new homes were not found. At first Bonnie seemed to be the shier of the two, and was very protective of her daughter around the scary new humans. But she has slowly started to come out of her shell, and shows us that she loves head and leg scratches by shaking her tail happily whenever we do so. The girls started out in our new quarantine barn, which has a window to Mallory's office - and Mallory soon had Bonnie's curious face peeking in at her throughout her work day. Bonnie quickly learned where the treat pellets are kept and gives pointed looks whenever someone passes them by without bringing her some. Bonnie loves her daughter Piper and never leaves her side - we are so happy that we can give these two a happily ever after where they can remain together forever.

Piper
|
Piper and her mother Bonnie came to us after their farm was sold and the new owners didn't want them. We learned that shortly after Bonnie had been purchased for the farm, Piper one day appeared - the farm owner didn't even realize that Bonnie had been pregnant until there was a Piper!
Piper is definitely the more spirited of the two, although she doesn't hesitate to run to her mom's loving side whenever she feels nervous. She enjoys giving playful headbutts and loves watching the cows - she can't wait until she and Bonnie are out of their quarantine period so that they can play with them! |
Huckleberry
Huckleberry is our fluffy little dynamo lamb. Rescued as a baby just before Easter, he quickly made himself at home and began exploring all life has to offer. His thoughts so far:
Huckleberry quickly won over the hearts of our older sheep, Bonnie and Piper, as well as our blind dwarf cow Annie, who watches over him like a doting big sister. He also loves spending time with the dogs on the porch - or playing with his humans - showing he truly is just a sweet boy who loves everyone!
- Snuggles: Excellent
- Eating People’s Hair: Awesome
- Baths: Terrible
- Bouncing and Boinging and Zooming: Absolutely necessary
