"Sherman's Love Palace" aka the New Barn is Complete!

The new bird barn is finally complete - and Sherman has officially moved into his new "Love Palace" alongside roosters Jareth and Sebastian.  This gives everyone some much-needed space and allows Betty to come spend the night in Sherman's new place from time to time.  And both Sherman and the roosters have an expanded outdoor area that gives them more room for activities!

The new barn also gives us a place to do bird treatments such as foot soaks, wraps, and medication.  But the best part is the new air conditioning, which came just in time.  It stays super cool in there, giving everyone a much-needed break from the terrible heat we've had this summer.  

Sherman seems very happy to be moved out of his temporary quarters in the med barn and not to have to be carried outside every day!  We still hope that he will be able to join the rest of the turkeys out in the yard someday but first he has to stop starting fights with the pigs (it's unusual when there is pig-involved mischief that the pigs are not responsible but in this case Sherman is inexplicably the instigator).  ​
