Huckleberry Health Update

We were very worried when Huck stopped responding to his preventative treatment for bladder stones.  We tried giving him a long break from it to give his body a chance to recharge, and have some happy news to report!  

We started him back on his ammonium chloride dosing last week and his ph started responding again!  It's now getting him back down to safe levels which helps break down any stones that might start to form.  We weren't able to find hay this time that perfectly matched his mineral requirements but luckily we are able to supplement it to get it at the level he needs, but it feels nice to know that at least one of our fail-safes is working.  We are very very cautious when it comes to Huck and his health as what we went through last year was terribly traumatic for everyone and we never want to experience that again!
