 Today, we had to say goodbye to our sweet, timid Odin.
Odin was a nervous little guy in so many ways, but if you knew him, you knew how deeply he loved. He had a habit of pawing at your arm, your chest, or even your face whenever he wanted attention. It was his way of saying, “Please notice me. Please love on me.” And once you did, he would look into your eyes with such intensity and affection that it felt like he was staring straight into your soul.  It’s with heavy and severely broken hearts that we share that our beloved turkey, Charlie, has passed. This spring, for the first time, she started venturing over the fence, determined to find a nesting spot. Despite our efforts to keep her safely in our yard, during one of her adventures and before we could reach her, a predator (likely a raccoon or fox) took her from us.
