Braglio Farms' Abuse Shows Need for Sophie's Law

Sign the Petition to Pass Sophie's Law

Sophie the calf was born on Braglio Farms of Woodstock, MD. In the first 3 months of life, Sophie was so severely neglected by the Braglio family that she was 200 pounds underweight, coated in lice and fleas from head to toes, suffered from hoof rot, and was covered in open wounds. Somehow, Sophie managed to escape her tormentors and made her way to Life with Pigs Farm Animal Sanctuary where she was healed. But Baltimore County Police tracked down Sophie for the abusive farmer and returned her to his neglectful care. No animal should be forced to suffer at the hands of an abuser and then be returned to that abuse.
So we call on Congress to enact a law that will protect animals by preventing farms found guilty of neglect from ever owning the lives of animals again. Pass Sophie's Law!

Farmers have zero right to abuse animals, just like the rest of the population! The police also have zero right to NOT side on the side of the LAW, period. If this is how it works out here in Maryland, then Maryland is ass backwards and CORRUPT. And, if all of you out there that support these farms are okay with that, then so be it...I just hope you don't EVER need the Police for help for you OR your Family!!!
