We have something special to share! This summer, we rescued a turkey poult and named him after one of my musical inspirations - Rachel Bolan, the legendary bass player and founder of the multi-platinum, American Music Award-winning band Skid Row.

Rachel (the rock star) happens to be an animal lover too. In honor of his feathered namesake, he’s making a Thanksgiving pledge: to skip turkey this year and celebrate with a plant-based roast donated by Field Roast. He’ll be filming and sharing the celebration with his fans in a campaign we’re calling “Kindness Is the Bass-Line.”

There’s just one catch: for Rachel’s big plant-based Thanksgiving to happen, we need to raise $10,000 for the animals of Life With Pigs between now and Thanksgiving. We know we can do it together - and the real winners will be the animals who call the sanctuary home.

On a personal note, I have admired Rachel Bolan for such a long time, and this is such an incredible honor that he wants to help our sanctuary. It's truly a dream come true.
