Pumpkin started her life being used as a breeder pig. For the first 5 years of her life, she had dozens of babies and watched as they were taken and sold away.
Fortunately, we were able to rescue Pumpkin and her daughter Charlotte and give her a new life in which she was able to relax and enjoy snuggling snout to snout with her baby on a couch after spending her day grazing outside.
In the wild, pigs - especially the females - will stay together for life so it is especially distressing for the family to be separated.
Pumpkin and Charlotte still sleep together every night, even though Charlotte is now 9!
Pumpkin loves popcorn, and hates being late for dinner.
