Claim #2 Evidence
Is this true? Was Sophie healthy before arriving at Life with Pigs? Or what about before the car ride from Maryland to Virginia?

Enter the new favorite terms of Roman and Scott Braglio: yes, cattle shrink. To explain how Sophie could go from perfectly healthy at their farm and show up at Life with Pigs Farm Animal Sanctuary, how did Sophie end up looking so bad a few hours later? Well, cattle shrink obvious.. right? Sounds like a good explanation.
That is, it sounds good until you read up on cattle shrink. In an 8 hour truck ride where a cow misses meals, it is possible for a calf to lose 3.3% of their body size and weight. So, considering Sophie was 67 pounds on day one, that would imply that Sophie weight 69 pounds before leaving Maryland. This begs the question, where is the other where the rest of the 250 to 300 pounds Sophie should have weighted at 3 months? And this also ignores that all the photos were taken after Sophie had been given 4 quarts of milk (and some taken after 8 quarts of milk). So, any shrinkage should have been eliminated.
But the problem with this theory is cattle shrink cannot explain the lice covering Sophie's body, the open wounds, and the hoof rot. So, even if this explained her emaciation (which it doesn't even begin to do), it still leaves us wondering how the other 3 conditions happened.
Additionally, there are pictures of Sophie at Braglio's farm showing her looking emaciated and neglected on April 20th (based on timestamp and GPS data embedded in the photos). So, even if cattle shrink could explain losing 200 pounds, Braglio couldn't explain away the photos proving Sophie was neglected while still on his farm.
