Winnie Joins the Family

Winnie is a calf that was intended to be raised to eventually end up on a dinner plate.  But a twist of fate saved her life.  Her back legs are not fully functional and so she has to carry most of her weight on her front legs.  This saved her life because she would not be able to grow to full size and still carry all her weight.  So, she came to life at Life with Pigs Farm Animal Sanctuary.  But, now the race is on to find a way to help her carry her weight throughout life so that she can grow old with her new sister Jenna the Calf who Lived.  We are currently seeking donations and looking for people that might be able to help with building her braces or a cart that would make it possible for her to continue to get around as she grows to her adult size.
